About Joyce Ahn

Joyce Ahn is a dedicated community leader and a 20-year resident of Buena Park. Currently serving as the Mayor, she is running for re-election as the District 1 City Council Member, representing the north-end of Buena Park from Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Boulevard. If elected, this will mark her second term on the Buena Park City Council.

Professional Background

• Healthcare Advocacy: Joyce served as a healthcare advisor, helping eligible seniors access the Medi-Cal covered PACE healthcare program.

• Census Engagement: In 2020, she was a Field Manager for the Census, ensuring that hard-to-count populations were accurately represented, securing our community's fair share of funding and resources.

• Leadership Roles: Joyce has decades of experience in both the private sector and community work, including:

  • • Vice President of Sales in the tech industry

    • President of the Sunny Hills Foundation for Education

    • President of the OC Korean-US Citizens League

    • City of Buena Park Commissioner on the Cultural and Fine Arts Commission
